As a good Asian daughter, Julia practiced law for almost a decade as an employment and business law litigator. Though law was not the perfect profession for her, she particularly enjoyed the storytelling aspect of trial work and watching judges' and jurors' faces light up when one of her arguments resonated with them. Knowing that she still wanted to pursue a career in storytelling, Julia eventually found herself chasing Hollywood dreams and started her production company ``Nine Tails Media`` in 2017. After producing a short film (``The Visit``) and a feature film (``Flowers of the Field``), Julia realized she enjoyed working through the challenges and issues of the business side of storytelling, partnered with David Li, and formally debuted ``Nine Tails Pictures`` in 2018.

Julia earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese and is avidly learning Japanese.
